Robert James' "Forgotten Beach (Byron Bay)" has been added to the playlists of Vega (Syd 95.3, Melb 91.5), ABC's Bill Ryner"s "Summer Series" show and the ABC local radio network, 2ZZZ and 2LM (Byron, Ballina, Lismore), and Radio 2 (National).

Radio 2 rotation will increase over the summer months. The station believes it to be an "upbeat happy summery song".

 Robert James Live

Robbie includes songs from his two solo albums, "Secrets In The Sand" and "Suzannah Suite", in his live show as well as re-arrangements of GANGgajang tunes.

His live repertoire also features a few of his vocal jazz songs and guitar instrumentals as well as some favourites he wrote for Wendy Matthews.

One of the unique aspects of his set is the jazz guitar with walking bass that accompanies his cruising voice. Another feature is the chance to hear the GANGgajang guitar sound unaccompanied.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Robert is working on three projects at present. As mentioned in the description of his live show he features a few of his vocal jazz songs and guitar instrumentals.

Near completion is an album of these jazz tunes entitled "Rosewood", and a collection of guitar instrumentals under the working title, "Western Waves".

The third project is the composition and scoring of music continuing on from the "Suzannah Suite".

This music together with Robert's completed treatment of the story form the basis of a screenplay for a forthcoming feature film, a musical entitled, "Suzannah".

Director Derek Hobbs will begin filming in 2007.
